Return to Paradise fans were united in their reaction as they all said the same thing just minutes into the new series.
The much-loved Death in Paradise spin off made its highly-anticipated return to BBC One tonight (October 31) as detective Mackenzie Clarke (Anna Samson) moves back to her hometown of Dolphin Cove in Australia, having spent the past six years in London.
She reluctantly returns Down Under after being accused of tampering with evidence, and receives a frosty reception having left her fiancé, forensic pathologist Glenn Strong (Tai Hara), at the altar years before.
Meanwhile DI Jack Mooney also made his return, working as the boss of the show's first female detective.
The first episode, which aired on Friday (October 31) night, opened with Jack and Mackenzie on the phone as she informed her boss that she wouldn't be returning to London.
Jack was quick to question why she didn't get on her flight back and after doing some detective work he soon realised that she stayed for love.
Beyond her detective duties, Mackenzie is forced to face ex fiance Glenn after his shocking confession that he still has feelings for her, despite his upcoming wedding to Daisy.
Things soon take a turn for the worse as Mackenzie tries to avoid her ex, the two bump into each other on the beach but in a sinister twist the former couple find a scientist, who was working at a shark research lab, dead on a runaway boat.
DI Clarke jumps straight into detective mode and is quick to suspect that the death is a meticulously planned murder.
She wastes no time diving straight into the chance but as expected everyone on the island is quick to question why she didn't leave for London.
