Mopping the floors is without a doubt one of the most tedious household tasks out there. Having said that, it's also a really important one, and there's nothing better than seeing the dirt lift off and the floorboard or tiles shine underneath.
Whenever I clean the house, I need the scent to linger long after I've put the mop away - otherwise what's the point? There's truly nothing better than stepping into your home and being hit with that hotel-clean aroma, and I think I've found the perfect thing for doing just that. I used it to clean the floors, and it gave them such a brilliant shine when it came to both tiles and wooden flooring too.
Most of my flat has wooden flooring, and so I'm finding myself having to hoover and mop most days in order to keep them looking their very best.
And anyone in the same situation will know that floor cleaning products don't always smell great, whether that's too chemical-heavy or just unpleasant in general.
We all want to replicate that feeling of walking into a stunning hotel and smelling how clean it is - not overly so, but just enough. And all you need to achieve this in your own house is a £1.79 bottle of Fabulosa disinfectant.
This oud disinfectant from the Fabulosa Classics collection smells way more luxurious than you'd expect any cleaning product to smell, let alone a disinfectant. Oud, which is a fragrant dark wood you'd probably associate with expensive perfumes, is the perfect scent to introduce to your home if you want it to smell like a beautiful hotel lobby.
But not only does it smell great - it works amazingly as well. The concentrated formula is said to effectively eliminate dirt and grime, leaving your home clean and hygienic. If you mix a few capfuls with water, you can use it all over the house - including floors.
I filled up a mop bucket with water and some of the oud disinfectant and used it to mop away at the floors after I'd vacuumed. Obviously, the first thing you notice is the warm and rich scent, but it also zapped away a lot of the lingering dust and spillages that were lurking there.
The surfaces were soon gleaming, and that amazing aroma stuck around for ages afterwards. It also didn't have that weird wet smell that can sometimes occur after you've mopped, and when it dried, it didn't leave any unsightly streaky marks either.
You can also use it to clean kitchen worktops, handles or anywhere else that you're worried about germs lingering - which is especially useful as we head into cold and flu season.
The disinfectant is said to kill 99.9% of bacteria and viruses, making it the perfect multi-purpose product to add to your cleaning rotation this autumn.
You can shop the Classics collection online or it's available in Poundland too.
