A House of Dynamite is the latest gripping thriller from Hollywood director Kathryn Bigelow that's dropping on Netflix this week.
Set in key real-life locations including The White House and the Pentagon, the film pulls back the curtain to depict the frantic response to a nuclear attack on a major US city.
However, Bigelow and the all-star cast, which includes Rebecca Ferguson and Idris Elba, were naturally unable to film in the actual Situation Room, Oval Office or military bases seen in the film.
Fans will therefore be curious where the film's key scenes actually took place.
Let's take a look at what we know about A House of Dynamite's filming locations before the nuclear disaster thriller comes to streaming this Friday.
Where was A House of Dynamite filmed?Principal photography for the film primarily took place in Trenton, New Jersey and began last October.
Filming continued throughout the early winter months of 2024 and wrapped that December.
A combination of real locations and practical sets were used for the film's settings, as well as some minor visual effects to bring some key moments to life.
As the majority of the film takes place in interior locations, Bigelow and the crew used Cinelease Studios in Jersey City to construct several immersive sets for the cast.
They included recreations of the White House Situation Room, military command centres and underground bunkers where several high-stakes conversations between officials, politicians and the President take place.
According to nj.com, other pivotal scenes were shot in locations across Essex, Hudson, Mercer, Monmouth, Passaic and Somerset counties.
This included Mercer County towns Ewing and Trenton, which provided some police and government buildings. Trenton was particularly crucial as New Jersey State House on West State Street was used in place of both the Pentagon and the Capitol Building.

Route 29, which runs through Trenton, was also used in place of Washington DC streets for scenes involving the presidential motorcade.
In Ewing, Civil Air Patrol Twin Pine Composite Squadron on Scotch Road was used for the Joint Base Andrews in Maryland and the New Jersey State Police Division Headquarters on River Road portrayed a service road to Raven Rock Mountain Complex, aka Site R or 'The Rock', a military nuclear bunker facility which is actually located in Pennsylvania.
Several key moments also take place in the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) base in Washington, which were actually filmed in Ewing's State Police's Division Headquarters Regional Operations and Intelligence Center on Schwarzkopf Drive.

Even one of the only scenes that takes place outside of the US, in the Kremlin in Moscow, was also filmed in New Jersey.
Monmouth University's Guggenheim Memorial Library in West Long Branch was used for these scenes.
